NBC's Believe, a paranormal thriller created by Alfonso Cuaron and Markus Friedman, follows Bo, a small child with uncontrollable and far-reaching powers that are quickly developing, and the men and women dedicated to protecting her from people in positions of power who seek to exploit her gifts for their own selfish purposes.

Following the death of her foster parents in a deliberate car crash caused by Zoe, a professional killer hired by Roman Skouras, Winter, the leader of the group interested in protecting Bo, drafts Tate, a wrongfully accused death-row convict who agrees to work for him in return for his freedom. Playing the role of reluctant hero, Tate struggles with relating to and protecting Bo who he finds to be too precocious and opinionated to fully control. When danger finds them, as it follows Bo to nearly all places, Tate is ready to protect the girl with little thought of his own safety.

Left to their own devices, Bo and Tate are left to travel alone, under the radar of those who would use the girl's power. Though the two don't get along, they rely on one another to survive and stay one step ahead of the enemy.
